Define the Problem: The hydroponic system we used was deep water culture. The advantages of this system are that you can grow big crops such cabbages and eggplants. The downside is that you need to block all the sun out of the water to prevent algae as opposed to other systems whereas you don't need to. Research: I figured out how the hydroponic system works and figured out what crops you can plant. I also made a materials list and made a sketch of the system. Design: We started off by picking which system to use, we chose deep water culture. We did research to figure out how it worked and what we needed to do. Once we concluded with the research, we sketched out how we were going to lay it out and put it together. Later we made an items list so that we can gather the resources needed to build.
